Oil on Canvas, 250mm X 250mm

I found drawing eyes on canvas quite hard in the beginning since unlike pencil, the details were quite hard to draw. After mastering the technic of the brush, more detailed could be added to make my artwork more realistic. I used the edge of the brush to paint really thin lines. I first started with colouring the background colour of the artwork, then add more portion of colours around the eye. Finally adding details on the eye brow and reflection in the pupil.

I choose green to represent the power and the anger, because I think green is really a strong colour. The colour red is most commonly used to represent anger, however, I think red is not unique enough to express the power of me myself. With the colour green, which is a really cold colour, adding shadows below the eye and adding highlight around the nose, I managed to make the eye looks real and even can feel the skeleton below the skin.

In my opinion, I think this painting is quite successful. There were no freckles on the painting when I first finished it. But I want the painting look more real and vivid and more like me. So I decided to add as many detail as I can, which make this final piece of work.
